• Before an upper GI endoscopy
  Upper GI endoscopy plays an essential role in the diagnosis, management and treatment of many GI diseases. To assist you in explaining the procedure to your patients, AstraZeneca has worked with the international nurses organisation SIGNEA (Society of International Gastroenterological Nurses and Endoscopy Associates) and leading gastroenterologist Dr Peter Bytzer to develop a patient information leaflet on upper GI endoscopy.

  The Interactive GERD Tutorial is a unique way of understanding both the condition and the treatment options. The use of animations, text and a voice over help to deliver information in an easy to understand and highly illustrative manner.   These slides are developed by Dr Edgar Jaramillo, Head of Endoscopy on Barrett's esophagus. He describes the diagnosis, the symptoms, the endoscopy and the treatment.
